We have been invited into Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott’s marital affairs by way of magazine covers, rumors and now their reality show “True Tori”. They have openly addressed Dean’s cheating with Emily Goodhand last year and now it appears that things are headed even further south for the troubled couple.
When speaking to “Us Weekly” recently about the state of her marriage, she also spoke of the reason behind filming the show and how the two of them are attending therapy together. Now, she is giving us an in-depth look into their marriage.
With regard to the reason for doing the show, Tori admitted that it wasn’t an easy decision but wanted to do it to reclaim her voice. She also wanted to tell her side of the story along with how she was feeling. Lifetime approached her with the idea and she went with it – much to Dean’s dismay.
She revealed that she and Dean hadn’t had sex since the cheating scandal broke and she allows him to stay at their home since leaving rehab. She said, “We’re parenting and figuring out if there is any relationship to be saved. I have no idea. Whichever way my marriage goes, though, I finally have my voice back and can be honest. We’ll see what happens.”
During their therapy sessions, he said while looking at Tori, “We have four kids, so in the sex department there were ebbs and flows. Is that safe to say?”
She said in response, “We had a great relationship, and we had a great sex life.”
He revealed, “We had sex once every two weeks. It wasn’t fantastic.”
After Tori gasps at his words, he said, “What? What did I say?”
The therapist then interjected to Dean, saying, “Dean, your expectations of what a marriage is supposed to be like sexually, it’s like a fairytale.”
Tori said, “Like, I can never give him enough sex. He’s never going to be happy with just me.”
Dean said, “I’m insatiable. Sex was an escape just like drugs and alcohol.”
With regard to Emily Goodhand, Tori said, “I don’t understand. Like, why her?”
Dean said, “I wasn’t attracted to her. It was just like a warm body.”
Tori responded, “I’m mad. I’m really mad.”
He said, “My worst nightmare is what I did. Absolutely. I cheated on my wife. That’s my worst nightmare.”
To that, she asked, “Or that you got caught?”
He said, “I don’t know.”
Will you be tuning in to “True Tori”? Do you think that their marriage is doomed or do they still have a shot to make things work? It’s really hard to tell if any of this is really legitimate complaints in their marriage or if they are covering their tale in BS in order to get higher ratings. What do you think?
