A synopsis of where we left off on the show:

Russell Edgington is dead — along with Roslyn. May they rest in peace. Alcide is the new packmaster after taking out J.D. Bill tricks Salome with fake Lillith blood and stakes her. He is now the new bad guy for this season. Lastly, Andy is left with Morella’s four half-fairy babies to raise.

Here’s the official synopsis for tonight’s show, as we’ve previously reported:

In the wake of Bill’s (Stephen Moyer) blood-soaked reincarnation, Sookie (Anna Paquin), Eric (Alexander Skarsgård), Jason (Ryan Kwanten), Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll), Tara (Rutina Wesley), Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) and Nora (Lucy Griffiths) flee the Authority compound as Sam (Sam Trammell), Luna (Janina Gavankar) and Emma (Chloe Noelle) dodge swarming guards. Now packmaster, Alcide (Joe Manganiello) discovers that the job comes with unsavory side dishes, but other major perks. In Bon Temps, Andy (Chris Bauer) deals with parenting four newborn human-faerie hybrids. Meanwhile, Louisiana Governor Truman Burrell (Arliss Howard) vows open season on vampires. Jessica returns to Compton Place as Jason hitches a ride with an eerie stranger.

The show kicks off with Billith appearing before Eric and Sookie. They are trying to escape the Authority HQ, but Bill is being evil and trying to stop it. She uses her light to light the way for her and Eric to get out of the elevator.

Sam is getting Luna and Emma out of the building, but Luna dies right there. Eric and Sookie pick up the rest of the vampires along with Jason and leave the area. HQ blows up behind them. Bill emerges from the building all bloody and they leave.

The Governor is speaking to the people about how they need to take their streets back. There is a vampire curfew after sundown. He says they are closing down vampire run businesses and he is instructing the people to buy guns.

Nora and Pam are arguing and she asks Eric who Nora is. Pam and Tara are bonding by the beach after Jessica discovers that everyone wants to kill Bill. Jessica tells Sookie that she’s afraid of Bill. Sookie tells Jess about what she saw Bill turn into before her very eyes.

Nora glamored Jason to learn what he knows about Warlow. He pulls a gun on Nora and threatens her to learn where Warlow is. Sookie gets between Nora and Jason and tells him that he’s acting crazy. He says that she is as dead to him as they are.

Bill is summoning Jessica and Eric tries to stop her, but she ends up throwing up. She’s laying on the ground dying because she feels that he is squeezing her heart.

Alcide takes J.D.’s flesh and eats it to inherit the packmaster title. Danielle bows before him and they all turn into wolves.

Arlene is yelling at Andy to get inside and take care of his babies. She encourages him with the benefits of raising his babies and he goes into the house. Terry is teaching Andy how to change a diaper.

Sam takes Emma to Merlotte’s and almost gets his head blown off by Lafayette. After Emma tells Lafayette to feed her, Sam asks him to forget they saw them there.

Jason is walking down the road when he gets approached by a car whose driver offers him some help. Is this Warlow? He has been in Bon Temps before and wants to know about Jason’s family.

Jessica and Sookie are still headed to Bill’s house. He’s out on the porch and he looks normal. He just wants to talk. Eric holds out a stake to take Bill out but can’t reach him…so Sookie pushes him into it. Bill yanks the stake out and asks, “Now can we talk?”

He tells them all that he summoned them to let them know that he is no monster and means them no harm. Sookie tells him that he should leave Jessica alone and leave Bon Temps. Jessica says that she and Bill are not leaving. She bares her fangs and makes everyone else leave.

The Governor is taking a meeting with the makers of Tru Blood. He wants to offer them a government bailout. She calls it a PR nightmare. He offers her the plant to use as her own. It’ll be a silent partnership…he doesn’t want credit for it. He wants the vampires to return to peaceful, law abiding citizens and the state needs revenue if he wants to be re-elected.

Alcide and Danielle are going at it in the forest when Ricki gets between them and starts making out with him. She motions for her to come back and bites her neck and kisses her.

Pam and Tara are talking about Eric and how Pam is unavailable for them to have a chance. She tells Tara that she could never replace Eric. Fangtasia gets swarmed by the governor’s people to close down the business. She offers to work things out, but Tara threatens the guy holding the gun and gets shot.

Eric is offering up some money to Sookie to go anywhere she wants. He didn’t expect Sookie to stake Bill to save him. Inside her house, he writes down that he’s giving her back her home. Sookie tells Eric that she wants her life back and she rescinds his invitation to her house. He is forced out.

Eric tells Nora that they are not using Sookie as bait and they are to stay away from her.

Andy’s children are already toddlers! (Or is that a dream?)

At Bill’s house he is offering Jessica a Tru Blood in case she’s hungry. She drops the glass, but he stops it from falling onto the floor. He doesn’t know what he is, so he needs her now more than ever. He tells her that he needs her to keep him honest and that she is the only one he can trust.

Back in the car with Jason and the stranger, he is blathering on about his family troubles. He mentions keeping Warlow away from his sister, but then it is revealed that the stranger is Warlow.

Bill is being summoned into his office by some naked Lillith chicks who all merge into his body.
