Waka Flocka Flame Announces 2016 Presidential Bid

Atlanta based rap star Waka Flocka Flame (born Juaquin James Malphurs) has announced his bid for the 2016 presidential election. He originally announced his run for the presidency in a post on /twitter back in 2012, but in a recent video for Rolling Stone magazine, Waka Flocka Flame confirmed his continued intent to be the next Commander in Chief of the American people, and his intent to be the first president to smoke “a big, fat old blunt” in the Oval Office. And, appropriately enough, this announcement was released on 4/20 – a day near and dear to the hearts of marijuana enthusiasts everywhere.

So far, Waka Flocka Flame, whose rap name was given to him partly by his cousin and partly by fellow rapper Gucci Mane, is citing a strong platform with emphasis on the legalization of marijuana, disallowing people with feet larger than size thirteen from walking in public, as well as keeping animals out of restaurants. Not only that, but he has already announced who his running mate will be: hip hop DJ and radio personality DJ Whoo Kid (born Yves Mondesire.) No word yet if Waka Flocka Flame has any political party affiliation, but he’s sure to have much more to say about his plans as the election draws nearer, unless, of course, he forgets or gets distracted by a serious case of the munchies.

But what the 28-year-old rapper seems to have forgotten is that the minimum age requirement for the candidacy is 35, meaning he may want to reschedule his presidential run for the election of 2024. On the plus side, that will give him plenty of time to work on fleshing out his campaign.

What do you think of the rapper’s presidential aspirations? Would you cast your vote for Waka Flocka Flame to be President of the United States of America? Hit the comments below and let us know your thoughts.
