The Walking Dead Recap: Season 4 Episode 2 ‘Infected’

The Walking Dead Recap: Season 4 Episode 2 'Infected'

Well, we went 30 days without an accident, but the calendar date was reset with Zach’s death. Now, with Patrick’s death, a new toxic form of infection is in the air or water.

Those in the prison who are coughing must be infected — and someone out there isn’t taking any chances. Karen and one of the guys were secluded from the others in an effort to keep the infection at bay. Despite that, someone felt the need to kill the two, drag their bodies outside and set them on fire.

In addition to that madness, someone has been feeding the fence walkers live rats. Who could it be?

We’ve also learned that despite Carl ratting Carol out to Rick, Rick won’t do anything about her teaching the kids how to defend themselves. Rick sacrifices the pigs in order to allow time for the fence to be stabilized.

We’ve also learned a bit about Michonne when she gets asked to hold Judith. She tears up, leading us to believe that she quite possibly had a baby or was pregnant at one time.

The takeaway from this is that there is a new flu-like virus of some sort infecting people and turning them into walkers. This contagion is causing people to bleed through every orifice, much like that one creepy walker along the fence from last week’s episode.

What did you think of this week’s episode of The Walking Dead?
