“The Voice” coach and Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine has revealed in a new interview that he will miss his co-judges Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green on “The Voice.” The judges said that they would not be appearing in the swiveling chairs for the show’s third season and Adam seems kind of bummed out about that.
He did say, however, that he is excited to work with Christina and Cee Lo’s replacements, Usher and Shakira. Both Christina and Cee Lo announced plans for a hiatus from the show in order to work on their respective music careers. Of that, Adam said, “Christina and Cee Lo are so close to my heart because we went through the show becoming a success together and Usher and Shakira are coming into as a big fricking institution. So it’s different but it still feels good because they are legitimate artists.”
He went on to say, “I knew Usher before. We’ve worked in the studio a couple of times together. Shakira is a new friend but I love her dearly already. She’s so sweet and adorable and hilarious.”
Adam also said of his friendship with co-judge Blake Shelton, “We need to be separated. If Blake and I sat next to each other, we’d never get anything done. We already yap across the room like we’re yelling across a dinner table.”
Will you be tuning into “The Voice” next season to see Adam Levine, Shakira, Usher and Blake Shelton dishing out advice and turning their chairs around for the talent?
