Amanda Bynes might be suing “In Touch Weekly” and “Star” magazine over reported lies about her in their publications. Just recently, “In Touch” claimed that their reporter sat down with the troubled actress turned fashion student, but she is denying reports of a meeting and has announced plans to sue the publications.
From the magazine:
The new issue of In Touch Weekly gives a glimpse inside the troubled life of Amanda Bynes following her latest DUI arrest, with details of the concerning behavior Amanda displayed on Oct. 5 in NYC — her day spent with an In Touch reporter.
The most disconcerting of her erratic behavior was when Amanda told In Touch’s reporter she believes she has a microchip in her head. “I want a dollar a day from every person who [is] reading my mind,” she told the reporter.
With regard for her penchant for plastic surgery, she reportedly told the magazine, “I look so hideous. Everyone can use a little plastic surgery.”
During the interview, the reporter said that Amanda made it clear that she wants absolutely nothing to do with her parents — who recently had a conservatorship over her affairs. She said of her parents: “I was miserable living with them. I would have rather been in jail.”
After being kicked out of fashion school in California, Amanda left the state for New York City. She just recently ran into trouble there at Barneys when she tried to leave the store while wearing a $200 hat. Upon her exit from the high priced store, she was apprehended by security guards. She told the guards that she merely put the hat on to avoid being chased by a fan. She also said that she intended to pay for the hat, but she left her purse with her driver and went outside to look for him. Security for the store released the troubled actress prior to the arrival of police — but made her promise in writing not to return.
Now that “In Touch Weekly” is trying to capitalize off of their supposed day with Amanda, she has announced that she is in a war with the tabloids over their fictitious claims. She took to Twitter to put “In Touch” and “Star” on blast with promises of legal action.
She tweeted: “Well I am suing In Touch for lying about me entirely. I am not insane and they lied about me in every way. They continue to write lies about me and it really hurts my feelings because they are calling me insane and I’m actually really smart. I finally hired the best lawyer in new york city to sue in Touch magazine because they are utterly insane and & lying to the public about me. I’m also suing Star magazine for doing the exact same thing and the true definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.”
She continued, “So I’m laughing all the way to the bank because I will sue them all. I will sue any one in the media who lies about me and says I ever gave them an interview when I never gave literally any magazine a quote. I am getting married and my boyfriend and I are going to be on the cover People magazine. because although they have made up things about me before, they will omit any error they’ve made.”
Make of that what you will.
