America's Most Wanted Canceled By Lifetime

The Lifetime channel has opted to cancel the long-running crime show “America’s Most Wanted“. The show, which is hosted by John Walsh, will not be returning for a 26th season, according to reports.

Never fear, though, because the show could quite possibly be revived at another point in the future. It’s not the first time that Lifetime has canceled the crime series. Prior to today, it was canceled by the network in June 2011, but later brought back to life in December of the same year. In 2011, the network aired 44 episodes of the show, and the last hit the air in October 2012.

To date, the show has helped nab 1,202 fugitives across the globe. John said, “I’ve seen a lot of shocking stuff and a lot of tough cases. You can be a crime victim anywhere in America.”

This isn’t the last we will see of the show’s creator, however. He is currently in talks with Lifetime with regard to a pilot called “John Walsh Investigates.”
