Race car driver Arie Luyendyk, Jr. lost out to Jef Holm in the season finale of “The Bachelorette”, but in a new interview, he talks about Emily Maynard, what he’s looking for in a woman and the rumors of him becoming the next “Bachelor”.
When asked if he could do anything differently on the show, he said, “I can honestly say I was one hundred percent myself and I would not have changed a thing. I was really grateful for the experience and I was so lucky to have had a connection with Emily. It made my time on the show very enjoyable. It was a wild ride.”
As far as what he’s looking for in a woman, he revealed, “Being on the show was really good for me. You spend a lot of time self-reflecting and I feel like now, more than ever, I know the type of woman I want to end up with one day. As far as a future partner goes, I can honestly say a witty, smart and playful attitude is what attracts me.”
When the time comes for Emily and Jef to walk down the aisle, Arie is all for attending if invited. He said, “Of course! I wish Em and Jef the very best and if I was asked to be at their wedding, I wouldn’t miss it for the world. I am so happy for them and knowing both of them so well, I can see they are really meant for each other.”
Lastly, he talked about all of the fans requesting that he become the next “Bachelor”. He said, “I went into the Bachelorette with zero expectations and I found love. It was very hard to move forward, but I still hold the same hope in my heart that someone out there will, someday, be the perfect fit. It would be a very tough decision to open myself up again like that, but I do know I’m ready to find someone. You never know!”
