If you would like to wear clothes that are designed by Beyonce, then fans are in luck. The legendary singer is teaming up with Topshop in order to give fans a new athletic line of activewear. Excited?
Sir Philip Green, who runs that company that owns Topshop announced the Parkwood Topshop Athletic Ltd earlier on Monday. He advised that the “50-50 joint venture company” would be unveiled in the fall of 2015 and would feature items for every level of fitness. In a statement released regarding the new venture, Green revealed, “We have been looking at this category as fashion inspired fitness develops, and know that this is right in our customers’ heartland. Creating a partnership with Beyonce, one of the most hard-working and talented people in the world, who spends many hours of her life dancing, rehearsing and training is a unique opportunity to develop this category.”
Later, Green revealed to “Women’s Wear Daily”, “This is about building a brand and building a business – a separate, proper business, with separate overhead and a separate office.”
Beyonce also released her own statement with regard to the joint venture. She said, “I could not think of a better partner as I continue to grow the Parkwood business. I have always loved Topshop for its fashion credentials and forward thinking. Working with its development team to create and produce a technical and fashion led collection is exciting and I’m looking forward to participating in all aspects of this partnership.”
Are you excited to see what this partnership will bring to the world of fashion and fitness?
