A sketchy looking former President Bill Clinton and his intern Monica Lewinsky appear on the cover of the latest issue of the National Enquirer. According to the magazine, the duo taped their sexy time shenanigans. Despite the fact that Slick Willy said that he did not have sex with that woman, the tabloid makes the claim that they have all of the details on their fling.
Uh huh. Do we really need to know how Monica seduced Bill? Is there really three-and-a-half minutes of anything that will shock America anymore?
President Clinton was already skewered in the media at the time for his indiscretions, so why bring it up now? Does anyone really care about this scandal anymore? Is it too late to capitalize on old gossip when it doesn’t matter anymore?
Perhaps that was a question that the Enquirer should’ve asked themselves before publishing this on their front page? Thoughts?
