U2 singer Bono wears his sunglasses indoors — and if you’ve ever looked at him and thought “Why’s this douche wearing sunglasses inside?” – then you are not alone. Not only that, but he wasn’t actually trying to look the part of a douche, but just couldn’t help it because of his glaucoma. Who knew?!?
The sunglasses weren’t actually a part of his rock star attitude, but rather a medical condition and a necessity. According to reports, the Irish singer has suffered from glaucoma for the past twenty years. In an interview with the BBC’s Graham Norton, he revealed his condition and said “I have good treatments and I am going to be fine.”
He also said that the public would now look at him as “poor old blind Bono.”
In other related news, iPhone users were said to be miffed that their phone downloaded U2’s new album, “Songs Of Innocence” without their knowledge or consent. Millions of people with iTunes accounts unknowingly received the album and some were upset at the brand and the band’s marketing efforts. To that, Bono said, “We wanted to do something fresh, but it seems some people don’t believe in Father Christmas.”
Did you receive “Songs Of Innocence” on your iTunes account? If so, did you give it a listen or just delete the album from your library?
