Bruce Jenner Crash: Olympian Releases Statement

Bruce Jenner was involved in a four car crash on the Pacific Coast Highway recently, but we’ve learned that he quite possibly was not at fault. As we have reported, one woman died as a result of the multi-car accident on Saturday.

The Sheriff’s Department said of the accident, “At approximately 12:15pm [PST] there was an accident involving three vehicles on PCH, just east of Corral Canyon. Bruce Jenner was involved. We don’t know yet in what way he was involved, if he was a passenger or driver. There is one fatality.”

According to a new report, law enforcement sources claim that a Prius made a sudden stop, which caused the Lexus to smash into it. Afterward, Jenner was said to have crashed into the Lexus. The Sheriff’s Department was said to be hazy on the story of the Prius driver. She reportedly told the cops that she was stopped at a red light, but it was determined that she was actually 300 feet from the light. The police are under the impression that the Prius driver might’ve been making an illegal U-turn at the time.

It was a chain reaction of an accident, which caused the Lexus to hit a Hummer – smack dab in the middle of traffic. Bruce Jenner was taken to the hospital where he submitted to a blood alcohol test and he passed. Afterward, rumors floated across the internet that Jenner might’ve been using his cell phone in order to text someone prior to the accident. Later, through paparazzi photos, it was determined that Jenner was actually holding a cigarette and not his cell phone.

Since the accident, Jenner has issued a statement on the matter. He said, “My heartfelt and deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones, and to all of those who were involved or injured in this terrible accident. It is a devastating tragedy and I cannot pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time. I am praying for them. I will continue to cooperate in every way possible.”
