Buckwild Canceled Following Shain Gandee's Death

“Buckwild” star Shain Gandee was found dead in his truck on April 1, 2013 along with two other men. The three men passed away as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning after they got stuck on a mudding trip. Now, MTV has decided to cancel the show.

E-Online reports:

Production was immediately suspended following Gandee’s death, and the unscripted series—which focused on “mudding” and partying—was in the middle of shooting the second season. A source confirms that MTV executives have decided not to move forward with producing any further episodes.

Buckwild averaged more than 3 million viewers in its first season and was one of the highest-rated shows on MTV.
