Cindy Crawford Respected George Clooney And Amal Alamuddin's Public Wedding

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin didn’t keep their wedding a secret and close pal Cindy Crawford respected their decision. George and Amal tied the knot in September 2014 and they didn’t try to keep anything a secret. Cindy and her husband Rande Gerber were guests at George and Amal’s wedding in Venice, but she wasn’t surprised that they didn’t try to hide the details of their nuptials.

Cindy said in a new interview, “I think George decided – and Amal, too – which I thought was smart of them, typically, that either you spend all this time and energy trying to make it secret or you just go, ‘You know what? We’re getting married in Venice and we’re going to have this great party and we’re going to do exactly what we want.’ So that’s what they did and I really respected them for it.”

She added of the paparazzi interest in the wedding, “You were aware of the interest, sure. I mean by the end we were even talking to the paparazzi because we knew one of them from L.A. – it was so random – but it was just a great thing. Everyone was there celebrating their friends. And I’ve tried to live my life this way. I don’t ever want to change my plans or what I want to do based on the worry of if there’s going to be paparazzi there.”
