Reportedly, the duo were looking at a $1.5 million offer from “People” and it looks like they have taken it. The couple scored the People and Hello duo cover deal for a nice chunk of change, which we’re guessing will be donated to charity.

For the wedding, the couple banned their guests from bringing in outside cell phones and instead provided them with burner phones with a code for entry. He reportedly told guests that the lack of cell phones being allowed into the event was because of the recent hackings that have targeted celebrities, but apparently the real reason is that he didn’t want the pictures to leak, thus ruining his deal with the magazines.

Amal chose the French lace Oscar de la Renta gown because she’s a fan of the designer’s work. She said of de la Renta: “He’s such an elegant designer and such an elegant man.”

Amal gifted George with cufflinks that are inscribed with “George” in Arabic.

George said of Armani: “He is the class act of all class acts. He’s been a good friend for many years and the night wouldn’t be complete without him.”

Armani said of the actor: “It is a privilege and a pleasure for me to dress him for this occasion, in which he stars in the most important role: that of the groom.”

The couple tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony at the Aman Canal Grande Venice in front of friends and family. The guest list included Bono, Anna Wintour, Matt Damon, Emily Blunt and Cindy Crawford.

On September 29, 2014, the couple made their union official with a ten-minute civil ceremony at Venice City Hall. As for why they chose to tie the knot in Venice, George said: “We met in Italy…we have a home there. We knew that was where we wanted to get married.”

For gifts, the happy couple bestowed an iPod onto their guests — each preloaded with music chosen by the couple.

Congratulations to George and Amal — and her dress is beautiful!
