Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge was born on July 22nd, but he’s a bit of a rascal who won’t sleep, according to his father. Now, People magazine takes fans of the royal family inside the new addition’s first weeks.

From the magazine:

The baby boy, born on July 22 to Prince William and Princess Kate, is “a little bit of a rascal,” as William told CNN. And his parents are feeling the effects.

Initially, the new mom and dad declined outside help. “Everything, including breast-feeding, went so well that they decided not to hire a private maternity nurse,” an insider tells PEOPLE in this week’s cover story.

But word in aristocratic circles is that the couple changed course after a few days and called for backup, possibly by tapping one of the midwives who assisted Kate’s delivery at St. Mary’s Hospital in London.

“It is very common for members of the royal family to see the same midwife through the pregnancy, at the birth and then for that midwife to stay on for postnatal care,” says Sarah Dixon, a London-based maternity nurse who has assisted friends of the royal couple.

The pair is also relying on help from housekeeper Antonella Fresolone, who will assist at the young family’s new home in Kensington Palace, where they are expected to move in mid-fall.

We can’t wait to see more photos of his royal highness!
