During the thirteenth season of “Dancing With The Stars”, Olympian Hope Solo and her professional dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy made it to the Semi-Finals before being eliminated from the competition. Now that all of the buzz surrounding the Olympics is dying down and “DWTS” is heating up, Hope has released her book, “Solo: A Memoir Of Hope”.
In the book, she said, “He manhandled me in rehearsals from the start, pushing me, whacking my stomach, bending my arms roughly. I thought that was just how it went – how dancers worked with each other. But it kept getting worse. One day, Maks was trying to put me in a certain position and hit my stomach so hard with his open palm that I had a red handprint there for the rest of the day.”
After Maks allegedly slapped Hope, she said that the alphabet network offered her a new partner. She revealed, “He wanted my head in a specific position. To achieve that, he slapped me across the face. Hard.” She added that she declined to trade him in for a new partner because she “didn’t want to end his career.”
On Thursday, Maks tweeted, “Always hated hypocrites and liars…but when someone is both AND an opportunist, I just feel bad for them. Can’t win at someone’s expense.”
