Ja Rule To Be Released From Prison

Rapper Ja Rule, also known by his given name Jeffrey Atkins is being released from prison after serving out his sentence in a New York City gun case. Apparently, he is being turned loose, only to be sent to another facility. “Twana Tells” reports:

The Queen’s rapper is scheduled to be released from a New York City correctional facility however he will be transported into federal custody because he has to serve a 28-month sentence on tax evasion charges.

If you recall Ja Rule was ordered by a judge to pay over one million dollars in back taxes. According to his lawyer the rapper will probably serve less than six months inside a federal prison and then be released to a half way house.

At least he is doing his time and taking care of his business, right?
