Jennifer Lopez Paid $1 Million For Turkmenistan Concert

Jennifer Lopez reportedly received a whopping $1.5 million to perform in a concert for Turkmenistan leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow. She was nudged into singing Happy Birthday to the leader at the $2 billion resort of Avaza.

A source revealed to Radar Online, “Her private, one-off fee rate is $1.5 million non-negotiable, plus private jet and hotel for her and her entourage. Once expenses are included, this gig could have run closer to $2 million.”

Once it was revealed that Jenny from the block was performing for the human rights offending dictator, she quickly went into damage control mode. Her publicist said, “Had there been knowledge of human rights issues of any kid, Jennifer would not have attended.”

She was said to have “graciously obliged” at the last minute to sing Happy Birthday to the dictator following her concert performance. Her manager, Benny Medina, said that she was unaware that Mr. Berdimuhamedow was in attendance at the concert.

What do you think of the drama surrounding this story? Should Jennifer return her $1.5 million fee? Or are you of the mind that she really earned the cash and deserves to keep it despite where it came from? Sound off with your thoughts in the comments below.
