Jim Carrey Drops Out Of ‘Dumb And Dumber’ Sequel

Jim Carrey Drops Out Of 'Dumb And Dumber' Sequel

In April of this year, the Farrelly brothers announced that the original cast from “Dumb And Dumber” would reunite for the sequel to the 1994 film. That would include Jim Carrey’s character Lloyd Christmas and Jeff Daniels’ character Harry Dunne. Shooting for the new movie was set to begin this September and fans were looking forward to the end result.

Jim has decided to withdraw from the movie’s plans after saying that the flick wasn’t moving forward. His spokesperson said that Jim was “increasingly frustrated” by the lack of progress and enthusiasm from New Line and Warner Brothers. He said, “I would have thought ‘Dumb And Dumber To’ was a no-brainer. After all it’s implied in the title.”

For the grammatically challenged, he’s referring to the use of “To” as opposed to “Two” in the movie’s title.

Were you looking forward to the movie’s sequel? Hey, it’s Hollywood, so it could still happen!
