Rapper Kanye West will not face felony charges over a fight in Los Angeles last month when he allegedly confronted a photographer and wrestled him to the ground.
The Stronger singer was accused of attacking an unidentified paparazzo outside of LAX after spotting the man filming him with a video camera. The snapper was later treated by airport medics and taken to hospital, but chiefs at the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office announced on Friday they will not prosecute the hip-hop star.
However, West is not officially in the clear as his case will instead go before the city attorney for possible misdemeanor charges, according to reports.
The incident wasn’t West’s first altercation with a photographer – he lashed out at snappers in May after accidentally walking into a street sign, and he was charged with three criminal misdemeanors when he smashed a photographer’s camera at LAX in 2009.
It’s sufficient to say that West really does not like the paparazzi or their equipment. Either way, he needs to start acting like a civilized human being before he gets himself into serious trouble.
