Around 3 a.m. this morning two men, a 50-year-old male and his 19-year-old son broke into Keri Russell’s Brooklyn home. She had a HUGE wake up call. Ronald Swindell and son Steffon stole a laptop, a necklace, a pair of earrings, and a Filson handbag.
She woke up to hearing footsteps on the floor above where she was sleeping. She also heard their whispers back and forth to each other. Once she went upstairs, she saw that her living room window and her front door were open. They allegedly got through the window that she had left unlocked.
After her house, they went to a second house and police arrested them there. They swiped a laptop and an iPad. Keri didn’t call the police, though. A 70-year-old lady saw the duo flee from the house and called the authorities. Authorities captured Ronald at the corner of Clinton St. and Atlantic Ave. Both are charged with burglary and criminal possession of stolen property.
They later found out that Ronald was just released from prison two weeks ago. I guess he was just visiting the outside world.
