Kim Kardashian Covers 'Ad Week'; Talks 'Kim Kardashian Hollywood' Game

Reality star Kim Kardashian is featured on the March 2015 issue of Ad Week magazine. Inside, the magazine discusses her ascension to the top of the tech world with the aid of her mobile game Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.

Glu Mobile approached Kardashian with the idea of partnering for a video game and the reality star’s husband Kanye West was on board from the word go. She says that the driving success behind the game is that she keeps in contact with the game’s makers in order to make sure that the game keeps up with her real life experiences. Glu Mobile updates the game in real time so that fans of Kardashian are able to take some of the same trips virtually.

When asked where the idea for the game came from, Kardashian said, “I had just had the baby, and so I was being really choosy about what I was working on. I got a call from the company Glu Mobile to partner up and do a video game. I asked my husband, “What do you think of this? What would the concept be?” And he was like, ‘Oh my God, you have to do a video game?’ It’s so cool. So, we went back and we came up with this really cute concept that I thought was relatable and very much like me. It had to be something that fit my personality.”

Of her future plans in the tech world, she said, “I hope to have a bigger presences in the tech world. I love coming up with different app ideas, and I have a few more that are coming out. Once you get started and you have this creative bug of ideas that you want to get out, I feel like I’ve partnered with the right team, and now I have the creative outlet to make that happen. I’m happy that people are into it and perceiving it well. I just want to create more apps.”
