Liam Hemsworth Was Gushing About Miley Cyrus

During the 2009 filming of “The Last Song”, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth fell in love and began dating. After dating for three years off and on, he proposed to the former Disney star in June 2012. After living together as an engaged couple, Cyrus called time on their relationship in September 2013 in order to devote herself full-time to her new album “Bangerz”.

Now, the Australian actor was overheard gushing about his former fiance. during a dinner party with friends at Puni restaurant in Portofino, Italy. Hemsworth said that he and Cyrus would “always be best friends” and that they had “an instantaneous and powerful connection.”

A source revealed, “Liam kept raving about how amazing she was, how much they clicked and understood everything about each other. He also said they bought a lot of furniture but he had to leave it behind when they broke up and he got his new place, which was furnished.”

In a previous interview with “Elle” magazine, Cyrus revealed that she thought she would die if she didn’t have a career and a boyfriend. She said, “When I went through a really intense breakup – you know, I was engaged – and when I was with him or when I was on Disney, the thing that gave me the most anxiety was not knowing what to do with myself when Disney wasn’t there to carry me anymore or if I didn’t have him.”

She added at the time, “And now I’m free of both of those things, and I’m fine. Like, I lay in bed at night by myself and I’m totally okay, and that’s so much stronger than the person three years ago, who would have thought they would have died if they didn’t have a boyfriend.”

In related news, Cyrus got a tattoo with some of her friends in honor of her deceased puppy Floyd. You can check out pictures of her tattoo here.

Do you think that Cyrus and Hemsworth will ever get back together? He sounds like he is still holding a torch for her, doesn’t he? What do you think?
