Orphan Black Recap: Mingling Its Own Nature With It 5/3/14

Tonight on BBC America is an all new episode of the hit show “Orphan Black” titled “Mingling Its Own Nature With It”. If you haven’t been keeping up with the show, here’s a primer to get you well on your way to knowing what’s going on. Are you an “Orphan Black” fan?

This show really has some of the best writing out there. Not only that, but it is also intriguing and has fantastic acting. When the main character Tatiana Maslany channels one of the clones, she embraces the character fully and embodies her nature wholeheartedly.

Here is the official synopsis for tonight’s episode:

After hitting the road with Felix, Sarah is forced to turn to a ghost from her past – an old flame named, Cal Morison. When their brief respite is brutally shattered, Sarah realizes that no matter how far she runs, it will never be far enough.

In order to get away from those chasing them, Sarah, Felix and Kira go to a small store where Kira distracts the clerk and Felix steals food. Afterward, the three of them go to Cal Morison’s house to spend the night, but he returns and confronts Sarah. It’s here that he learns that he is the father to Sarah’s daughter.

Meanwhile, Allison is in the middle of the production of “Blood Ties” and is feeling the pain of not helping Ainsley. Not only that, but she is also feeling every bit of the painkillers that she washed down with airplane bottles of booze. During her performance, she falls off of the stage at Donny’s feet.

Cosima learns that another clone named Jennifer Fitzsimmons passed away three days ago from polyps on her lungs. In addition, her infertility may have been attributed to growths on her uterine wall. Cosima and Delphine get the unlucky task of doing an autopsy on Jennifer’s body. We also learn that Jennifer was being monitored by her boyfriend and she was on the receiving end of free treatment from Dr. Leekie.

Creepy DYAD Daniel gets Sarah, but Kira runs to Cal. He kills the local Barney Fife and has Sarah driving them to their destination. This turns out to be a bad idea for him because she gets the car they’re in T-boned.

The crazy Proletheans also have Helena and the head guy Henrik has married Helena after drugging her. Apparently their whole weirdo group wants to see if he can impregnate her. Ugh.
