Barbadian singer Rihanna has been granted a temporary restraining order against a man who allegedly broke into her home in Los Angeles in September.
Jonathan Whooper was arrested earlier this month after officers identified him as the suspect who threw a chair through a glass door at the singer’s Pacific Palisades home.
The latest gossip news reveals that the suspect had made several trips to Rihanna’s home before attempting to break in on September 29th and returned again on October 4th before getting himself arrested.
When confronted by security guards on his last visit, the suspect claimed to be an acquaintance of the Umbrella singer and declared he was her “future husband”. In the TRO petition, Rihanna states she has suffered ”substantial emotional distress and concern for her personal safety” as a result of the break-ins and a judge has placed a temporary restraining order against Whooper, ordering him to stay 100 yards away from her.
The case will go back to court later this month and Rihanna is reportedly looking for the judge to make the restraining order permanent.
