“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2” won its share of Golden Raspberry Awards at the 33rd awards show last night. The ceremony was conducted at the Continental Breakfast Room last night (before the Oscars, as always) at the Holiday Inn Express Hollywood Walk Of Fame Hotel.
The final movie in the vampire franchise won the most Razzie Awards for the year 2012. Is anyone surprised by this? The “L.A. Times” reports:
“Twilight” won seven Razzies, presented by the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation, including worst film, worst actress for Kristen Stewart — her Razzie was also for “Snow White and the Huntsman” — supporting actor for Taylor Lautner, worst screen couple for Lautner and Mackenzie Foy, worst director for Bill Condon, worst remake, rip-off or sequel and worst screen ensemble.
“Twilight” had stiff competition in the worst picture category — “Battleship,” “Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure,” “That’s My Boy” and “A Thousand Words.”
What did you think of “Breaking Dawn Part Two”? Do you think that the people in charge of the Razzies were too hard on the vampire franchise? Or are you of the mind that all of the Razzies the movie and its actors won were all well deserved? Hit the comments and let us know your thoughts!
