Stevie Nicks Apologizes Over Nicki Minaj Strangling Comments

During the promotion of her documentary “In Your Dreams”, veteran singer Stevie Nicks spoke out with regard to the Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj feud on “American Idol”. When speaking with “The Daily”, Stevie said, “How dare this little girl. If I had been Mariah, I would have walked over to Nicki and strangled her to death right there. I would have killed her in front of all those people and had to go to jail for it.”

Now, Stevie is issuing an apology for her comments. She said, “I want to apologize for my remarks about Nicki Minaj’s behavior toward Mariah Carey, which I said during a long and exhausting day of interviews. It was very out of character for me and I deeply regret what I said.”

She went on to say that she “spoke without thinking” and that she felt protective over Mariah “who has gone through many difficulties in her life.”

Should she have had to apologize for her comments? Perhaps she meant “strangle” in jest? Surely, she wouldn’t have gone to jail for murdering Nicki, right? What do you think? Is Stevie just using this whole feud to drum up press for her book? Hit the comments and let us know your thoughts!
