It was a tight race for this season’s “Bachelorette” Emily Maynard. She had to choose between race car driver Arie Luyendyk, Jr. and entrepreneur Jef Holm. On last night’s season finale of the show, she let Arie go after having introduced her daughter Ricki to Jef. In the end, she saved him from the embarrassment of a proposal only to get rejected.
Still, at the live taping of the “After The Final Rose” special, it was all Emily could do to keep from gushing on and on about her love of the People Water guy, Jef.
She said, “I found the perfect man. He’s my best friend.”
Jef chimed in, adding, “I love her to death.”
The show’s host, Chris Harrison, said, “What really separated Arie and Jef in the end is how Jef made her feel. How she acted in the end, if you notice, she was a little girl around him. Jef brought out something unique in her. There was something special and unique about them. I don’t want to take anything away from Arie, who is a wonderful man and would have been a great husband. But she and Jef are so good together. I really think she chose wisely and I think she chose the right guy.”
Do you think she picked the right guy?
