On last week’s episode of Two And A Half Men, we learned that Charlie Harper died on the Paris Metro. At his funeral, his mother tried to sell his Malibu beach house. They also introduced the character of Walden Schmidt, played by Ashton Kutcher. At the end of the episode, it said “To be continued…”, so tonight, we’re getting part two of the season premiere. In case you’ve missed the show, you can read our official recap here.
According to reports, the show is introducing Judy Greer as Walden’s ex-wife, Bridget. On to our recap of tonight’s events!
Walden is hiring Berta to stay on as their housekeeper and he tells her that money is no issue. Berta is thinking a lot of dirty jokes about Walden. Alan is leaving the house and Berta asks him for a hug. She tells Alan that she’s taking his room. Another creepy sex thought from Berta, hurled at Walden. Alan is leaving and Walden is amazed by the peephole. Throw in an unfunny joke by Alan and an awkward moment. Alan leaves, and Walden says he’s starting off his new life as a single guy in Malibu. Out comes Jake! Doh!
Alan is at his mother’s house, unpacking his things. She asks why he’s unpacking and he said that it’s temporary. He said he can’t move in with his girlfriend because his touch repulses her. His mother says she’s not going to put her life on hold for him while he’s there. Alan says he doesn’t expect her to. She said that she has a date tonight and they’ll probably end up having sex — rough sex. So don’t come near the bedroom, no matter if she’s screaming. That is, unless she’s screaming her “safe word” umbrella.
Back at the beach house, Walden is on the phone with his ex-wife, Bridget, asking her about the shampoo he uses and where to buy it. It’s baby shampoo and can be bought at any supermarket. He asks her to take him back and she says no. Afterward, he asks her about the toilet paper that he uses that’s soft on his tushy like a cloud. She tells him to grow up and he says, “You grow up” and she hangs up on him.
Walden asks Berta to go to the supermarket and pick him up some baby shampoo. She thinks more sexy thoughts about bathing with him. He feels really bad that Bridget isn’t with him anymore.
Walden went to visit Alan at his mom’s while she’s having rough sex and is yelling. He brought Alan a book that he left at the beach house about hypnotizing women and making them your slave. Walden invites Alan out to do something, just as his mother is yelling “umbrella”. Walden confessed that he came over to visit Alan because he was lonely. And Alan made a Molly Ringwald joke, ha.
Walden is driving faster and faster as he explains how much he doesn’t want to live without Bridget. Walden apologizes for scaring Alan. He’s taking Alan to Bridget’s so he can talk her into taking him back. Walden talks to Bridget over the intercom and she tells him to leave or she’s going to call the cops. He asks for Alan’s help over the fence. After they both get on top of the gate, Bridget threatens to turn “the gate on”. Walden says she’s bluffing, but it turns out to be an electric gate and she shocks them.
Alan and Walden are in the game/arcade room and we’re introduced to his ex-wife, Bridget, played by Judy Greer. She says that she’s tired of being his mother more than his wife and she kicks them out…but not before he makes off with a roll of toilet paper.
Walden is driving mad again, and he’s going insanely fast.
Cut to the next morning and we see Alan laying across Walden outside. Walden wakes up and asks why he’s laying on top of him. They’re both naked…and hungover. Berta is also outside sleeping, hungover.
At the beach house, a girl named Penelope is there for Charlie. Alan tells her that Charlie passed away and she starts fake crying, until Walden walks in and she smiles and introduces herself.
As Alan goes to leave, Bridget is at the door to to see Walden. She says that she might’ve been hard on him. She comes in and sees Walden with Penelope. Alan tells her that Penelope is his girlfriend and takes her into the kitchen.
Walden asks Bridget out to dinner and she says yes. He says that he can prove to her that he can be a grown up. Walden walks him out and thanks him for saving his butt. He said if there’s anything Alan needs, to name it. Alan asks if he can stay there until he finds his own place…Walden agrees.
