Usher Awarded Primary Custody Of 2 Sons With Tameka Foster

Usher Raymond has been awarded primary custody of his two sons with his ex-wife, Tameka Foster. The former couple were married on August 3, 2007, but Usher filed for divorce in June 2009, citing irreconcilable differences. Their divorce became official November 4, 2009, but the custody of their two sons was held in contention.

That was, up until they battled it out in court in an attempt to strip each other of custody. Tameka referred to Usher as an absentee father who was too busy with his career to be a good father. In December 2011, Tameka demanded that Usher take a drug test as she felt he was using drugs in front of their children. On the other hand, he claimed that she was inattentive and irresponsible.

On Friday, the emotions came to a head as the judge in the case awarded custody to the singer. The children will now be spending more time with their famous dad. TMZ reports that Tameka still retains some rights to custody, but it is unknown at this time as to how much visitation she will receive.

Hey, at least she still has her Saks card, right? Priorities, people!
